Die Selbstkritik hat viel für sich.
Gesetzt den Fall, ich tadle mich;
So hab ich erstens den Gewinn,
Dasz ich so hübsch bescheiden bin;
Zum zweiten denken sich die Leut',

Auch schnapp ich drittens diesen Bissen

Wetenschap stelt dat alles reproduceerbaar moet zijn. Ze proberen te verklaren wat er in een moment gebeurt door herhaalbare identitieke situaties (momenten) te creëren en deze te toetsen aan hypotheses. Hiermee wordt gekeken of iets klopt met een theorie of niet..
De werkelijkheid wordt getoetst aan een theorie. Maar waarom de werkelijkheid willen reproduceren?

Opmerkelijke passage waarvan ik altijd moet gniffelen. Uit 'The Golden Legend' van Jacobus de Voragine, het hoofdstuk dat het verhaal van Sint Ambrosius vertelt:
